New York City Events For This Fall
Even though it's still the middle of summer yesterday in New York City we got a taste of what's around the corner, 'fall'. The temperature hovered in the 70's for most of the day and even the subways were cooler than normal. Fall, autumn however you pronounce it is so many people's favorite season with the leaves changing colors and the nights being so more conducive to sleeping but, will you have time to sleep with all the events lined up this fall in New York City. I've put together a list of the top 5 things to do this autumn.
Spring Fashion Week in Bryant Park. Is a must see event for any fashion connoisseur. See what will be hitting the stores of NYC next spring while mixing with celebrities and fashionistas in Bryant Park.
Feast of San Gennaro. Little Italy is the location for this feast/outdoor festival which takes place September 11-21. A must see event for anyone who loves Italian food and music.
New York Football. The season has begun, so paint your face and get down and support the two local New York teams, New York Giants and New York Jets.
New York Film Festival. In its 45th year the film festival is the premier film event in New York City. The festival will screen 28 films at the Lincoln Centre, running from September 28 through to October 14.
The Village Halloween Parade. The Village parade is the largest Halloween event in the nation. New Yorker's turnout in large numbers to watch and participate in this event. With 32 marching bands and 35,000 costumed revelers the parade is a must see for anyone living or visiting New York City.
There are many more New York City events happening this fall, all you need to do is grab a magazine or research online to find the latest offerings. Just because summer is over doesn't mean the festivals and New York City events have to end.
